FAQ

I'm interested in getting more information, how can I contact you?

You can use the contact form on our website, call us on 03 4420 4725 or 0439 44 66 20 or send an e-mail to info@northsideclub.org.au

Please do not sms/text us as our response maybe delayed.

I'm thinking about visiting, what is there to do at Northside?

The obvious, Northside grounds are secluded and private – time to get your gear off and enjoy the naturist lifestyle!

Visitors have full access to our facilities. We have over 70 acres of land and native bush which you can explore at your leisure. We have walking tracks, above ground pool, tennis court, children’s playground and BBQ facilities. If you just want to take in the sun then we have a large grassed area with some shade where you can relax on a towel and get that all over tan.

The well-equipped clubhouse has a full camp kitchen, pool table, darts board, table tennis table and a small reading library. There is even a large screen TV for those special events!

Most social weekends we have a club social or sporting activities. Visitors are welcome to join us at these events.

How can I arrange to visit?

We welcome all visitors interested in the naturist lifestyle. This is only possible on club social weekends, as advertised in the Events Section of our website.

We can offer unpowered camping sites (and a very limited number of powered sites (conditions apply)) for those with caravans or tents.  A charge is applicable for overnight stays. See the Accommodation Section of our website.

No caravan or tent? Not to worry, we now have a basic cabin available. Centrally located close to the clubhouse and amenities this cabin has a double bed and seating. BYO linen and use our communal BBQ/ camp kitchen for cooking.

Would you prefer just a day visit? For the best experience we strongly encourage staying for at least one night. Most of our social events are in the evening and our country location does make it difficult to return home after a function. Watch the Event Section of our website for Open Days. These are designed to suit day trippers and maybe a great option for you.

Really can’t stay overnight and are interested in membership? Contact us for other options to learn about the club.

Ready to visit! Simply contact us via email, the web contact form or by phone and we can discuss options with you.

I'm single, will I be welcome?

We welcome all persons interested in the naturist lifestyle. Singles, couples and families are welcome to visit. We do try to keep a gender balance on most event weekends so this may limit accessibility by single gentlemen. Our open weekend, held in November, is not restricted.    If you are interested then contact us for further information.

I'm visiting, what do I need to bring?

We are relatively isolated with limited shopping facilities nearby. Remember to bring something to eat and drink, sunscreen, a towel for sitting on and most importantly a happy disposition!

This is my first time at a nudist club - when do I need to get undressed?

Northside is a nudist club and expects members and visitors to be nude, subject to inclement weather and medical conditions.

We do understand that for first time nudists removing clothes can be a daunting experience. You are welcome to slowly relax into our lifestyle. The only exception to this is the pool where nudity is required.

How often can I visit?

Northside is a member owned and operated club. We welcome visitors who are interested in the naturist lifestyle and wish to visit, enjoy the nudist lifestyle and learn more about our club.

We reserve the right from time to time to limit visitors to maintain a gender balance or to ensure equitable access to interested parties.

We would expect after 2-3 visits consideration would be given to applying for full membership of the club.

Do you have alternative accommodation options?

For those visitors wishing to stay overnight we can offer unpowered camping sites suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes. A limited number of powered sites are available (conditions apply for these).

We have two options for those who prefer not to camp. First we have a basic cabin available. This cabin has a double bed (BYO bed linen) and seating. Also available is a on-site van with annex and decking. This can sleep up to four, with a double bed in the van and fold out divan in the annex – again this requires BYO bed linen. In both cases meal preparation would be by using our communal BBQ or camp kitchen.

Sorry, we do not have fully self contained or serviced accommodation available.

See the Accomodation Tab for further details on options available.

Are pets allowed?

Sorry, as we are situated in a bushland setting, we do not allow cats and/or dogs on site. Registered guide dogs for the sight impaired can be accommodated – please confirm details when making a booking.

How can I find your Club?

We are located in central Victoria, not far from Heathcote and Tooborac on the Northern Highway.

We are just 90 minutes from Melbourne, 100 minutes from Ballarat, 60 minutes from Bendigo and 45 minutes from Seymour. Location details with driving instructions are given to approved visitors.

Northside Country Club

I'm interested in joining, how do I become a member?

Northside accepts applications for membership from all persons genuinely interested in our lifestyle and who have visited the club on a number of occasions to ensure that they are comfortable with the facilities and will fit in the with other members.

Applications are open to singles, couples (same or mixed sex) and families.

Persons interested in membership should speak to a committee member during one of their visits. Upon receipt of an application the committee will review and advise the applicant of the outcome.

Note – we do reserve the right to restrict membership approvals to maintain an appropriate single/couple/family and gender balance.

What does membership cost and what benefits do I get?

Membership costs are reasonable compared to similar organisations and for the benefits received. Current costs can be obtained when contacting us or during a visit.

Costs are kept low as we are situated in a bushland environment and have consciously decided not to over develop the facilities. Members are also expected to pitch in and help with a number of working bees during the year.

Members are able to select a site where they can permanently locate a caravan or tent and have 24/7 access to the grounds and facilities to rest and relax at their leisure.

What are the current weather conditions at Northside?

Our nearest weather station is located at Redesdale. Click here to view current weather observations and forecasts. Note page will open in a new window.

I drive an EV, can I recharge on site?

Sorry, EV charging is not possible at Northside, including the use of slow charging on 10A power points as we only have a limited power supply. A super charger is available at a nearby commercial center. Ask us for details.
